Does my MacBook Pro automatically save viber files?

Hello!

A friend of mine sent a couple of word files using Viber. I could download it by clicking, but I didn't. After more than two weeks, I decided to look for them and download them, but I couldn't. It said that "This file is no longer available on Viber's servers".

I would like to know if there is any way the files could have been saved anywhere so that I can recover them. If so, where do I find them.
