Formatting Micro SDXC Card for Permanent Storage

I own a Macbook Pro Retina 15 inch Mid 2014 with a 256GB internal SSD running 10.11.5.

I recently purchased a 128GB SanDisk Micro SDXC (Class 10) Card with a nifty adapter so that I can permanently store it inside my MBP's SD card slot. I have about 80GB worth of music in my iTunes library and would like to transfer it over to this SDXC card, therefore, freeing up tons of space on my internal SSD.

I don't plan on ever using the SDXC card with a PC, therefore, my buddy suggested that I format it as MAC OS (journaled) to take full advantage of it's speed.

My main question for the Apple community is:

Which scheme should I use? GUID Partition Map, Master Boot Record, or Apple Partition Map???

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
