iTunes library not the same on iMac and IPad

Why is my ITunes Music Library not the same on my iMac and my iPad. All my music on my iMac is either purchased via download or loaded via a CD player (remember them?). However, my Music Library is the same on my iMac and my Mac book Pro. Also, I'm still trying to find home sharing on my iPad.

Can anyone help, please?

Hi Christiana,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I'm happy to help you better understand your iTunes library, and home sharing.

When it comes to getting your library the same on both your iPad and iMac, there are a couple of ways to go about it.

For Home Sharing, we've got some great information about what Home Sharing is, and how to use it outlined here:

Use Home Sharing to share iTunes content with other devices

You can use iCloud Music Library to download or stream any purchased content to your iPad:

Sync Apple Music across your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and computer

Or if you want the music to be stored on your iPad, you can sync the music from iTunes on your iMac to your iPad. This will also allow you to sync music from CDs:

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB

Have a great day, and good luck!
