I'm working on an iBook for a band. While iBooks is in my opinion the best platform not everyone uses IOS devices. Can I publish my body to Amazon and Android for wider coverage?

To use iBooks Author for books to be read on non-iOS devices, you must build your book using one of the epub templates. The other ones produce .ibooks format, which cannot be read on Android or Kindle. Apple's Pages can also produce epub format.
In general for info about how to make books for Amazon, it's best to consult their own forums.

Publishers can create Kindle books in-house by using a free software program called KindleGen. This is a command line tool designed for building Kindle books. KindleGen accepts source content in HTML, XHTML, or EPUB format.
