Q: how to hide a partition from finder?

Hi all,

in my mac pro i have several internal disks, two of them have more than one volume.

Two volumes, both belong to windows, one system reserved windows partition, and one for temporary storage only, are shown on the desktop, but they shall not be mounted under os/x, shall not be shown on the osx desktop. How can this be done?

Thank you!

Greetings from germany

    I found the solution...

I booted into windows, changed the volume names from System-reserviert to .System-reserviert and from temp to .temp, and Tadaaa! they disappeared from the osx desktop.

The starting dot has been the magick trick.
