Q: How can I add and customize text levels in a text placeholder in the Slide Master?

I've done online research but could not figure out a way to do it. Copying and pasting an existing text placeholder seems to break the formatting of levels.

I know how to add text. I know how to make this text a placeholder. I just don't know how to add text levels that will actually apply to the presentation.
