Q: Can't save or play a podcast in iTunes

I'm subscribed to a podcast feed (Ben Nicky Podcast - don't go there if you don't like profanity) but when new episodes are available I cannot download or play them in iTunes on my Mac.

 

I can however download and play in iTunes on my iPhone - and then by syncing with iTunes I can get them into my iTunes library. This seems a rum way of going about things ... any tips on how to fix iTunes? I don't get any error messages other than the circle with an exclamation mark in it when I try to save an episode in iTunes. Other podcast subscriptions work fine.

    Hi Slinky09,

    Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

    There are a few steps we can try to get your podcasts downloading as expected. If you haven't, try signing out of iTunes on your Mac and then sign back in.

    Afterwards, if the issue is still happening, let us know what version of OS X your MacBook Air is running. You can find that info under the Apple Menu > About this Mac. Also, let us know if you can download other content as well, or if it just seems to be podcasts.

    Closing and reopening, signing out and back in, shutting down and restarting all do not work. As I said, I can download other podcasts but not this one. I'm running OS X 10.11.5. Also, for this podcast I cannot even play it via the iTunes store. As said, this is all on my Mac and if I try to play or download on my iPhone, that works fine. Thank you
