Q: locked out of old phone

I have an iPhone 4 that I had lost so I removed it from my iCloud when I got a new phone. I recently found it and I'm trying to get it working for my grandmother, but it's disabled so it won't let me in anything to restore it. I also cannot force restore because my lock button is broken on it. I need help! Thanks!

As you likely had Assistive Touch enabled on this iPhone for the matter of the lock button, you could use the software button found in this for the sleep/wake and power the iPhone down. Once you have powered it down, make sure it isn't plugged into anything, and hold the home button down by itself while you plug the iPhone into your computer. Do not let go of your home button until after the Apple logo disappears and the iTunes logo appears in its place.

Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

You may end up having to do this again after the download finishes for your iOS restore. This is downloading from Apple's servers to your computer to then use to restore your iPhone, so it may take time depending on your connection speed.
