Q: Apple Watch - not tracking fitness
My Apple Watch does not track my workouts any longer after I completed the most recent OS update. Is this a known issue?

Hi
When tracking your activities during general daily wear (ie when not recording a workout via the Workout app), the Activity app relies on data from the built-in accelerometer. The watch measures and interprets your arm movements, translating them into steps and other estimations (calories, exercise, distance, etc).
For the best results, allow the arm on which you are wearing your watch to swing naturally as you move around.
For more accurate results, calibrate your watch (instructions via the article linked below). Calibration teaches your watch how your arm movements relate to your stride lengths at different speeds when you are walking and/or running. It does this by comparing data from the accelerometer with GPS (Location Services) data from your iPhone.
To track workouts more accurately, consider recording your workouts via the built-in Workout app. Depending on the type of activity, this can also use additional data sources such as the heart rate sensor and GPS data from your iPhone. For the best results, ensure that you wear your watch snugly on the top of your wrist during workouts. Apple suggests that you consider tightening your watch band before workouts and loosening it again afterwards.
