Several times a day I receive a notification that iOS software updates are available - install now, remind me later ... enter passcode etc. MOST annoying.
How do I turn these off? I'm fine with 9.2 (I don't use the Japanese keyboard). Short of installing the update, how do I stop these reminders?

This is something they haven't bothered to fix or care to address. I've clicked "remind me later" at least 120 times so far. I've manually deleted the 1.3GB update file at least 50 times now. Here's the solution.

Your simple solution will not solve the issue that is the subject of this thread, which is notifications of iOS updates.
Is there an error in the OSXDaily article? I may be wrong but I was under the impression that the update would only download while on wifi AND while on power. Is that correct?

Perhaps with emphasis on "more on less". The article says on three instances that "you have to disconnect from wi-fi and avoid wireless networks because the moment your device is unattended and back on wi-fi the iOS update will download itself again". That is not true. I can be on wi-fi all day long and not get the download as long as I am not charging my phone.
It's too simple ! Go to setting notifications app store disable all notifications! Done !!!
