iMovie App can't seem to speed up a clip, only slow down

I have version 2.2.2 on iOS 9.3.2 (basically everything is up to date) and for some reason I cannot get iMpvie to be able to speed up a clip or video. For my audio it works without any issue, but with clips it won't work. And I can't seem to find any sort od similar questions or answers online. I've included pictures, one with the audio and how there is an option to speed it up, and one with the video and how there is no option. I hope the answer is really simple to this- Thanks!
