how do I intergrate Post Office broadband into Apple Mail?

I cannot integrate my new e-mail provider (Post Office) into my Apple Mail despite long phone calls to the Post Office 'support' line. (There was no problem with my previous provider (TalkTalk)

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Hello Eric

e-mailing my reply seems to be the only way I can get back to you - when I click on your link (below) I get a window where clicking on 'Reply' does nothing, and when I go to the forums website I cannot see my question shown there...

So - to answer your initial questions:

- I have entered the Post Office's incoming mail server and outgoing server details correctly (double-checked with helpline man) in Mail: Preferences: Accounts (having added the name POst Office broadband as a new account) and then clicked on Save Changes . The Post Office inbox and Sent box then appear in my Mailboxes in the main Mail screen, but they are greyed out. I tried quitting and re-launching Mail, but to no effect. So e-mails sent to my 'pobroadband.co.uk' account address arrive in my Post Office webmail page, but do not get picked up in Apple Mail. Also I cannot use Apple Mail to send e-mails using Post Office Broadband.

- Then the Post Office 'helpline' man got me to send myself an e-mail from their webmail site to my TalkTalk (Tiscali) account, which worked - but Mail still doesn't pick up e-mails sent by other people to my Post Office address...

Hope you can help!
