Q: Is Pages Free in my Situation?

Yesterday I purchased an Ipad Mini 2 new from the store. Everything is fine as far as setup went, I've used Apple products before. I have pages for free on my Macbook and I'd assume my Ipad would come with it for free. I clicked on the App Store and it said it was $9.99. I read somewhere that if I updated to IOS 9 I could get it for free even if I had an ipad that's under 32GB.

Does this apply to me? I have the recent patch but its still showing up as $9.99, what should I do?

Is there any way I can download Pages from the App Store on my laptop and transfer it?

I use Pages for work as well as for home, thats why I need it.

iPad Mini, iOS 9.3.2, null

Yes, you qualify for sure. The text at the bottom of this page confirms that:

    http://www.apple.com/ca/ios/pages/

Make sure you are signed in to the App Store (Settings > iTunes and App Store) with the same Apple ID you used when you set up your iPad. The price tag shouldn't show $9.99 if everything is working right, but there might be a slight delay between when you see the price and when the Store realizes you qualify for a free copy. So make sure you're signed in and let us know if that helps!

Thanks so much for your help. I'm all signed in, but I am still seeing $9.99 ATM. It's been like this for a while now and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Just to clarify I have a copy of Pages on my MacBook, can I somehow plug this iPad in and download it that way?
