can't migrate due to newer OS X version
Hi
I needed to downgrade from El Capitan to Yosemite lately. Before I have done it, I used for first time Time Machine to transfer all the data to my external hard drive.
Now I tried to use Migration assistant to copy data over to my MacBook Pro, however due to Yosemite being an older OS X version Migration assistant will not let me do it.
I get this message: "This source contains a newer release of OS X. Your Mac requires an upgrade before you can migrate from this source."
Is there anyway of resolving it?
Would creating a additional user on my mac, downloading El Capitan again, and transfering data using Migration assistant then helped?
I could always delete the additional user after the transfer?
Many thanks
