How do I delete all related files from Itunes from my PC.

I'm trying to completely delete iTunes and all associated files from my PC. NOT my account, just the files on my PC.

I have followed the Uninstall instructions, followed all the steps, and even manually delete the folders it missed.

However my TreeSize file finder shows that I still have files under C: User\User\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer (9gb) and C: User\User\My Music\iTunes (40gb). There are also various other itunes files spread thought out my PC that have about <10gb) of additional data.....

Is it safe for me to just delete the Apple Computer file under Roaming and the iTunes file under My Music?

Shouldn't the uninstall wizard deleted everything.

please help. my 100gb OS drive that was suppose to be strictly for the OS is almost full and iTunes is by far the largest item on the drive next to my windows 7.

When you uninstall an application such as iTunes it is common for various configuration and data files to remain in place so that they are available when you reinstall the program.

You can install the main iTunes application files on a drive of your choice during the set up, however certain components are installed in the system drive. The significant chunk of data that you mentioned is likely to be the backup files for your device. iTunes doesn't provide a way to choose where that data lives but you can take control using the steps outlined at the link I provided earlier. You can simply delete the Apple folders within AppData, but some will be recreated when you reinstall iTunes. If you back up your device without creating the folder redirect as outlined then the backup data goes on C:

You can put the entire library on any drive of your choice. The user tip Make a split library portable explains how to do this safely if part of your library is currently on the system drive.

The process is relatively simple, but it is also possible to get things wrong which is why I've laid it all out in a user tip which I've taken time to edit and refine. It needs a little tidying up for style after the recent changes here have upset the formatting but the information is still all there. The user tip is necessarily generic but I can go into detail if you tell me a little more about what components are stored where.
