Am I missing something? I just bought a new macbook 2 weeks ago and noticed it doesn't have imovie on it. I have it on my other mac, but do I now have to purchase it for my new one??? Not cool IMHO if we have pay when it was free on my other mac.

Check your Applications folder or use Spotlight.

If iMovie is not in your Applications folder, launch the AppStore and check the fourth tab "Purchases". Is iMovie listed there with an "Accept" or "Install" button?
It's not in spotlight or under the purchased tab of my App store.

Thank you. I tried your suggestion and imovie is no where to be found on my macbook. I asked the sales person about this and he said I have to download it. Looking into that it costs 20.99. :-( Any susggestions?
Did you purchase your new Mac directly from Apple or perhaps second hand?
I purchased from Best Buy.
Then it should be a new Mac and still have warranty. Contact Apple Support about the missing iMovie. Are other apps missing as well? Keynote, Pages, Numbers, GarageBand?
