Mainstage 3 - Dip in sound when switching between patches.

There is a noticeable dip in sound when I switch between patches.

I am using mainstage as a guitar effects and mixer to combine the guitar sounds with a drum machine (Novation Circuit) and vocals. My set up uses patches to go between sounds in a song. I have a set for each song and scroll between patches for intro/verse/chorus etc...

I didn't notice this dip in the sound before because I was changing the patches between sections. However, I am now using the patches to send program changes to my Novation Circuit and the patch change happens in the middle of a bar because the circuit will goto the next "session" after the bar is completed. When I advance the patch in the middle of a bar the dip in the output is noticeable. All settings are the same between patches except for sending a program change.

Is there a way to get around this?

Thanks!

MainStage, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
