Most Apple software and hardware products include unlimited complimentary support incidents within the first 90 days of product ownership.

Jun 11, 2016 11:49 AM in response to pka13by iEvan 3.0,If you have an Apple Store nearby, I'd recommend taking it there. The folks at the Genius Bar will look at it, and thankfully it's still under warranty if any repairs are necessary!

When sleeping the Power light should be slowly flashing. Is that the case?
When it wakes it should be the steady white.
Have you done this troubleshooting?
If your Mac doesn't sleep or wake when expected - Apple Support
