You need to describe this in much more details:

    • are the builds on the same slide or different?
    • are the builds set to play automatically?
    • is the presentation set to normal, links only, self playing or  recorded?
    • do the builds play if you click the mouse or press spacebar?
    • what are the specific builds used the settings?
    • are there transitions on these slides also?

All three builds are on the same slide in one presentation.

The builds are set to play in consecutive order.  I am not sure what you mean by automatically.

It must be set to normal because I do not know how to set it for links only, self-playing, or recorded.

The object that receives the builds is the arrow from shapes.  I want it to fly in, move across the screen, and them blink.

There is a transition into and out of the slide with the builds.

    Thanks

You have to review and edit the builds in the Build Order List to control the order and timing of each effect.

Click on the Build Order button to show the Build List

In this example, each arrow shape has an entry in the build list to automatically play each effect in the order of:   fly,  move, then blink:

The arrow shape at build number 7 will automatically play after the previous build at 6

The effects are re-ordered in the list by dragging and dropping each build into the order needed:

    Gary

I think I have miscommunicated.  I have ONE arrow with three builds on that ONE arrow.  My builds are in the order I want them. The order is Fly In, Move, and Blink.  I have the Move build set to 800 pixels so that it moves across the screen the distance I want, and the Blink build set to 9.  I have also set the duration of the Move Build so that it is not too slow or fast.  I do not see an option to set it all to work automatically as it seems to be the case in your example.  Then when I push PLAY nothing happens.  This is an important sequence for me because I can use it to call attention to anything on my slide so I appreciate your help and look forward to your reply. My many many thanks.

I do not see an option to set it all to work automatically as it seems to be the case in your example.

    Go to    Inspector > Animate

    click the build order button

click on the arrow shape to select - the builds in the list will turn blue

in the start dropdown menu; change to After Previous

click play, the shape will follow the builds set in the list and play automatically
