Of the many wonderful features found in iPhone, water resistance is not among them. Unfortunately, the standard one year warranty does not cover water damage of any kind. Going forward, I highly recommend that you purchase Apple Care+ for all of your new iOS devices. Apple Care+ will cover up to two instances of accidental damage (including full water submersion) with a modest deductible of around $79. You can find out more about Apple Care and Apple Care+ by visitinghttp://www.apple.com/shop/browse/home/applecare

That all being said, you are not without options. I recommend that you contact your local Apple Store and schedule an appointment with the Genius Bar. Once a Genius is able to look over your device, they will be able to provide you with an estimate for the cost of repairs (assuming that repair is an option). To find an Apple retail store in your area, visit http://www.apple.com/retail/ and search by zip code. After performing the search, you will be given a listing of stores in your area. Once you have chosen a store from the list, you will be taken to the page for that specific store. From the store page you will then be able to schedule a reservation.

Best of luck with getting your iPhone repaired.

We can't advise you at all. The iPhone is not user serviceable and Apple does not sell iPhone parts. There is a strong possibility that the main logic board is now toast.

I would not consider a water damaged phone safe to use. Buy a new one.
