Q: How to activate Iphone while abroad?

I tried to reset my iphone while abroad. I have sim free iphone 5C with a Belgian Sim card. Currently I'm in Canada and after resetting and removing all my settings, I cannot activate my iphone. Via wifi I get the "activation server is temporarily unavailable" message. Itunes does not seem to get give anything but a white screen...

You need to find a Canadian provider and obtain a SIM for their cell service. Your phone should be unlocked from your Belgian provider in order to use it in Canada unless your Belgian provider has a Canadian Plan you can add onto your Belgian service.
