Q: Cannot add faces
I am using Yosemite version 10.10.5 and am unable to add faces using Photos. I had no problems doing that until I tried to do it last night. The last time I tried to do it on April 25, 2016, I was successful. Has a bug cropped up? When I click on information and go to add a face, the circle pops up as it is supposed to do and I can insert a name, but when I click return to add the face, I am taken to the editing screen instead, and the face is not added. Can someone tell me please what I can do to add a face? (I have tried rebooting, several times.). Thanks.

Thanks for responding. As you suggested, I do type the name in the field below the circle, and it appears below the photo.
Is that still the case, if you do not hit return?
I never had this problem while I had been using OS X 10.10.5.
Make a test, if this only happens in your current photos library.
Create a new Photos Library for testing and try to add a few faces. If it works in a new library, repair your current library.
- To create a new library launch Photos while holding down the options key ⌥ and select to create a new library.
- To repair your current library launch Photos while holding down the key combination ⌥⌘ and double click the library you want to repair.
