Dead Watch

My watch suddenly went dead. It won't charge and I can't force a start up. I tried to reset it from my phone but it couldnt find it. I was able to unpair it from my phone. Now I am at a loss as what to do. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Colette

Try force restarting your watch: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for around 10 seconds, until you see the logo.

If that does not help, next try charging your watch for around 2.5 hours, making sure that you follow the charging instructions here:

After that time, if it has not already restarted automatically, remove it from the charger and:

- Try restarting it (by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo).

- Next try force restarting it again.

You next need to reset your watch manually in order to be able to re-pair it with your iPhone:

- On your watch, go to: the Home screen (when viewing the time on your watch, press the Digital Crown once) > Settings (cog icon) > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.

This will reset your watch to factory settings.

Then re-pair it using the Watch app on your iPhone (via the standard procedure), choosing to Restore from Backup if the option is offered:
