Q: import songs into itunes

I am trying to import songs from within my computer to iTunes.  Something seems to be blocking it.  I can't see any progress if it is trying to do it.

Dell, Windows XP, lots of horsepower

    Good day NormGuitar!

Getting all of the songs into one place within iTunes will certainly make managing and listening to the music a lot easier.  We want to help out in any way that we can when it comes to making sure that they're imported.

To start with, we need to make sure that the correct version of iTunes is on your Dell.  Since it shows you're using Windows XP, the latest version that it can run is version 12.1.3.  You can download that from this link if you need to: Download iTunes 12.1.3 for Windows (32 bit)

After that's on there, here are the steps for importing the songs to make sure that they're showing up: iTunes 12 for Windows: Import music and video already on your computer. Depending on how many songs you're importing, this might take a little bit of time to fully complete.

Once you follow those, the music should show up for you like normal and you'll be good to go.

Take care and have a great day!
