Pages - iOS. How to get keyboard to appear?

Hi,

I need on a regular basis to complete a form. Rather than writing it each time I wanted to type it. I replicated the form on my iMac (Office) using tables for easy data input. I then decided it would be easier to use my iPad for inputting, so I imported the file to the iPad and opened it with Pages. The problem I have is although the file opens ok and I can click into the tables I can't seem to get the keyboard to appear. Whats the trick to do this?
