Q: Prevent MacBook From Sleeping While in Clamshell Mode With an External Display
I have my MacBook Pro running in Clamshell mode as it sits on my desk and is plugged into an external monitor. So while the lid is closed and the monitor is on it doesn't go to sleep. However, sometimes I like to switch inputs on my monitor to my server, but when I do the MacBook goes to sleep. I'd guess that when the input is switched the signal to the computer is lost. Is their any way through the OS or third party software that will still make the Mac think the display is there even when I switch inputs? Thanks!
