Jun 12, 2016 3:48 PM in response to Ryszby Diana.McCall,Check the Mac power save settings? There's something there about waking on network.
But you might get more activity than you expect, as described here Sleeping Apple TV 3 wakes up iMac every 10 minutes...
Have you changed your network recently, maybe replaced an Apple router with another brand?

Jun 12, 2016 3:53 PM in response to Diana.McCallby Rysz,No changes to network or equipment recently. I was adding the note about Wake for network access being On, as you were posting.
Yeah, if the two of us combine our problems, we might meet in the middle and it will work for both.

Jun 12, 2016 4:12 PM in response to Ryszby Diana.McCall,In the other case, it sounds like ATV was running the Bonjour Sleep Proxy, and bothering the Mac to keep updated. In your case, it sounds like no one is running it. Is your Mac running mDNS? I find it amusing that Bonjour, which is meant to be decentralized, has sprouted a central server, and is discovering the hassles of the ancient Windows Master Browser.

Jun 13, 2016 8:46 PM in response to Diana.McCallby Rysz,Sorry, Diana, but terms like "mDNS" are way over my head.
If you tell me where to check for that, I'll gladly report back.

Jun 21, 2016 1:36 PM in response to Diana.McCallby cF00,I am having the same problem, I cannot check that process atm but will tonight.
Just curious though, if the process is not running, are there steps to take in order to make sure it does?

Jun 22, 2016 4:01 AM in response to cF00by Diana.McCall,By the way, there's a lot more info on this here, About Wake on Demand and Bonjour Sleep Proxy - Apple Support. It may give a clue as to where the problem lies. Note that, if the base router is not an AirPort, an ATV is responsible for remembering the services of the sleeping computer. There may be complications if there's more than one ATV.
