Q: iCloud system tray icon

I have Win7 on my MabBook as BootCamp. The iCloud icon in the system tray is always showing error (triangular exclamation mark) but when I click on it to open the iCloud drive, all I get are 2 empty folders called Preview and com~apple~TextEdit. What are these meant for? Can I delete them?
