Q: Started Apple Music and now I am invoiced for subscription

Hi Apple,

I started my Apple Music app on my Iphone6S and it asked me for my AppleID password.

There were NO information whatsoever about subscription or payment being billed.

I entered the password and the app started.

An invoice turned up in the mail and I seem to have activated a family subscription for the music service.

Once again... There were NO INFORMATION at all being displayed that this was the beginning of a business transaction between us.

I want my money back and cancel the subscription but this seems almost impossible to do online if I compare to how easy you started charging me for the subscription service.

How do I get the transaction refunded, subscription cancelled and this renewal "bug" reported.

Please advice.

    Hello SwedeTK!

I can understand how important it is for your subscriptions to be billed properly. You're in the right place for help.

Each Apple Music membership comes with a free, three-month trial. Here's a resource to assist you in cancelling any active memberships: Manage your Apple Music membership on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

Turn off automatic renewal to cancel your membership

If you want to cancel your Apple Music membership, turn off Automatic Renewal on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. You can't turn off automatic renewal on an Apple TV.

Your membership might renew if you don't turn off Automatic Renewal more than 8 hours before your renewal date.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    1. In the Music app, tap your profile icon in the upper-left corner.
    2. Tap View Apple ID. You might need to sign in.
    3. Under Subscriptions, tap Manage. If you have more than one subscription, tap Your Membership (Apple Music Membership) to see your membership options.
    4. Under Renewal Options, turn off Automatic Renewal. Confirm your selection, then tap Done.

If you don't see the option to turn off Automatic Renewal, your subscription will automatically stop at the end of the current billing cycle.
    5. Tap Done to return to your Account screen, and then tap Done to return to the app.

If you believe you've been incorrectly billed, this page addresses how to resolve the issue: iTunes Store charges on credit and debit card statements

If you compared your purchase history (and family members' purchase histories) to your statement and still don't recognize the charge or want to request a refund, contact Apple Support.

    Cheers!
