Q: Pause Activity reading on Apple Watch
Hello,
I am a new user of Apple watch.
The "Activity" app on apple watch is fantastic and helps me track my daily movements and inspires me to move more.
However I noticed that this application collects incorrect data when I am riding my MotorBike or while travelling through Bus/Car etc. I have seen similar issues on "FitBitt" also. Is there any way we can Pause data collection while riding/travelling etc ?
My app shows I am achieving Goal ! (Which actually I am not )
Thanks in Advance.
Regards

Hi
It is not presently possible to conveniently pause the Activity app. However, it may help to calibrate your Apple Watch. Calibration will enable it to more accurately recognise activity and make more accurate estimations, including for steps and Move goal progress in the Activity app.
To calibrate your watch, follow the instructions in this article:
When tracking your activities during general daily wear, the Activity app relies on the built-in accelerometer (which measures and interprets your arm movements). For the best results, try to allow the arm on which you are wearing your watch to swing naturally as you move around (and also do this when calibrating your watch).
Activity estimations also depend on your personal information. To check that this has been entered accurately and to update it over time:
- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Health > Edit (upper-right).
