My iPod 8GB was working fine until..

My iPod 8GB was working fine until I plugged it into my computer as I normally do to re-load Mp3's and I got the do not disconnect page on the screen but iTunes didn't see it and now it won't re-boot it just is frozen with the "do not disconnect". I have tried to do the Play/Pause, Menu button reboot but it refuses to reboot. Any good ideas out there to fix this?
