My Apple Watch won't boot or start up. It's charged but won't turn on unless I put on charger and even then it'll start to boot up i.e. The apple logo appears then it goes back out. Solution please??

My apple watch has been lying idle for about 5 months. I have just charged it overnight but it simply won't boot up! I can't ask for apple's help as I cant access the serial number without it working. Rather frustrating. Can anyone help please or have any ideas what I can do without taking it to an apple store? As you see the Apple logo, but the display otherwise remains black after restarting, check whether VoiceOver and screen curtain are turned on:

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver > turn off VoiceOver.

If VoiceOver was not turned on, the following steps may help:

• Try charging your watch again for around 2.5 hours, making sure that you follow the charging instructions here:

  Check your battery and charge your Apple Watch - Apple Support

• After that time, if it has not already restarted automatically, remove it from the charger and:
  • Try restarting it (by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo).
  • Next try force restarting it (by pressing and holding both buttons for around 10 seconds, until you see the logo).

If the issue persists, contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) with a view to having your watch serviced (under warranty, if eligible):

Unfortunately, there is no other procedure that you can follow to resolve the issue.
