Q: 3TB Fusion Drive Going Slow...

Hi, I have a Late 2014 iMac which is maxed out in every specs except the RAMs (8GB), which has a 3TB Fusion Drive. I have discovered that I can't preview live animation in After Effects, no matter how simple it is. My friend's MacBook Pro, which is early 2015 version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Flash Drive, can handle live preview better than my desktop. Is there any way I can get this slow iMac to be fixed?

Since you seem to be experiencing these issues specifically in After Effects, I would recommend using Adobe's resources to troubleshoot this feature. I've gone ahead and found this on their website:
