content having disappeared from Apple Music

I have a $9.99/monthsubscription to Apple Music. I've added to my Library and used to listen to a number of albums (without downloading them) which are now shown as "Item Not Available - This item can't be played", and the songs are grayed out. What might have happened to the albums of these bands? This is rather disappointing.

Thank you for your answer.

Hello megyesa,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important having your Apple Music on your iPhone is to you!

If I understand correctly, you are unable to listen to a number of albums, and you get an error of "Item Not Available - This item can't be played"
Let’s begin with these steps:

1. Restart your iPhone and then test the same albums again:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

2. Once you have restarted, go to on your iPhone to Settings > Music and make sure the “Show Apple Music” and “iCloud Music Library” options are enabled and test the issue again:

Sync Apple Music across your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and computer

In addition, depending on the country you're located in not all songs are available in all locations. To check you can use the link below:

Cheers!

Thanks for your answer. I went through all the steps you described, although settings had already been the required ones.

The albums are still not available.

And other, previously available albums have become unavailable in the past 1 or 2 (perhaps more) weeks. An example: I distinctly remember that a fair number of Marylin Manson albums had been available a few weeks ago for streaming/downloading, and now they are ALL gone!

It looks to me that all this music has been withdrawn from Apple Music - could you confirm?

thanks.

Thanks for that additional info, it really helps. Can you confirm the following info:

1. The name of a couple of the albums and artists you're having this issue with. For example, you mentioned Marilyn Manson, is it all albums, or specific albums by that artist that are not working?

2. Your current country, and/or what country you use with the iTunes Store.

This will help see if possibly narrow down this issue.

Cheers!

I have all albums by Rammstein added to my Library.

Not available any more:

Herzeleid

Sehnsucht

Mutter

Reise, Reise

Rosenrot (just now I tried to click on the first song here and I get this: "Looks like 'Benzin' is no longer available"

Only 2 Rammstein albums left available:

Liebe ist für alle da

Made in Germany

Marylin Manson: ALL albums are unavailable, not a single one left.

I am based in the US, and all my Apple subscriptions are based here.

Are not able to answer my questions here? Isn't it very clear what I'm asking? How would the new service forum you are sending me to would be answer me? Please describe.

Shall I forward this conversation to Spotify - perhaps they would know the answer?

Mind you: I'm listening to only a few bands, compared to other users. If I, at my moderate scale, am experiencing bands' albums disappearing, what are other people experiencing?

I'm having the exact same problem. It's clearly one of two things:

1. Apple no longer has these albums available for streaming (which would be pretty **** annoying to have content shifting out of under the users)

2. There is some other reason that these albums are no longer showing up in an Apple Music search of my library.

Which one is it?
