is there a reason Mac Pro (Mid 2012) isn't supported for Win 10

I've had Win 7 installed for quite a while but I'd like to upgrade. The support article doesn't list the Mid 2012 Mac Pro. Is there some kind of legit reason for this, or is it simply Apple's tendency to ignore hardware more than 3 years old?

There are 2012 models listed in Use Windows 10 on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support , which support W10. The primary reason is the lack of certified drivers for the 2012 MP.

You can install W7/W8.1 and execute an in-place W10 upgrade, if you want to pursue it further. Please backup all your important files first.
