There's something wrong with iTunes right now. That message makes no sense since Podcasts can only be updated as part of an iOS update.
If you don't see a similar message in iTunes on your iOS device, ignore it.
I have this as well. Same error message
I also had iBooks update appear in iTunes this morning but that updated itself ??
Like the previous reply said....ignore it, it'll probably go away or do "something" in the future
I did read on MacRumors that the stock apps will be able to be deleted in iOS 10 but also that these apps are appearing in the iTunes Store
"The apps are now available as standalone downloads on the App Store, meaning that Apple can issue updates for each app independent of iOS updates. "

Not sure if they're available yet (I cant see them there) but maybe soon, Perhaps its something to do with that ??
Thanks Rysz and capcomnz,
This has eased my concern. I listen to Podcast every single day and I want to be able to update the app. Your guess about the apps being able to be deleted might indeed have something to do with that.
That functionality will be part of iOS 10. If it affects iOS 9, it's a bug.
Same problem as here. iTunes App update not happening.
This is happening in iTunes on OS X, though, not iOS; whether or not you're running iOS 9 or 10 is irrelevant. As it currently is, every single time iTunes on OS X tries to download newer versions of iOS apps (which in my case is daily), you will get this message. Whether or not you have the most recent versions of both Find My Friends and Podcasts on your iOS devices (which I do).
Thanks for confirming. If I just open up iTunes (12.4.1.6), pick apps and updates, there are indeed two remaining apps, the ones mentioned above. As said, I don't really need them, but it is strange that the error message states that we should "search for it on the App Store on your iOS device", because they don't turn up when searched through my iPhone or iPad (both running 9.3.2)
