Require password only when closing lid

I want to set my macbook pro (El Capitan) such that it only requires login after I closed the lid, but not every time it goes to sleep.

There were several similar questions posted before, and it seems its not possible by default. Are there any third party apps that would do this?

Thanks

Peter

Not aware of app but if you have formed user name and password a screen shot is there that will be very helpful . go to system preferences > open the pad lock by entering user name & password > click on login options > enable the box : name and password by doing so when you close the lid & open it once again you would be prompted to enter user name & password .

And in energy saver > display sleep should be never ( means slider should never be to zero it should be two minutes ) .

Thanks for the reply.

I do not want to disable sleep, however. When the display goes to slip without closing the lid, I dont want the system to request login. Only when closing the lid.

OsX seems to treat inactivity and closing the lid the same way, putting the system to sleep. Now I only want to log in again when I actually closed the lid, but not after some inactivity.

You can indicate if displays should sleep or if hard disk(s) should spin down when the computer is idle.

If you set the "Display sleep" slider lower than the "Computer sleep" slider, the display will sleep (if possible) once the computer has been idle long enough. If the computer remains idle longer (how long depends on what you've set the "Computer sleep" slider to), it will go into full sleep mode after display sleep (unless you've set the "Computer sleep" slider to Never).

You cannot set the "Computer sleep" slider lower than the "Display sleep" slider because computer sleep includes display sleep.

I am receiving lots of irrelevant answers so I'll try to clarify. I want 3 things at the same time:

1, my maxbook turs off display and goes to full sleep after some inactivity or closing lid

2 requires login after closing lid

3 does not require login if the lid was not closed (went to sleep for another reason)

I'm looking for a setting if possible or third party app to achieve this.

Thanks
