IOGEAR GBU521 Bluetooth will work for mac (OS X 0.11.3) ?? if possible please guide me on this. and i am not able to find bluetooth icon in my "system preferences".
in "/System/Library/PreferencePanes" i can see an file "Bluetooth.prefPane" when i double click on that files it shows an message "To see this preferences pane, you may need to connect a device to your computer".

IOGear says it is only compatible with PC's. There are no drivers for Mac

Actually only one person claimed it worked for them but that may not be true. Even still that thread is 4 years old, long before El Capitan's existence. So if it did work for one person 4 years ago, there is no reason it would still work now.

Is the GBU521 Mac compatible?
Apple does not fully support the 4.0 Bluetooth Chip set used by the GBU521. The GBU521 is not compatible with MAC operating systems and there are no drivers that can be installed. The GBU521 is PC compatible only.

I have no idea. I know it works with OS X 10.10 according to GMYLE.
