Q: iTunes can't seem to recognize its own applications, and can't seem to sync my iPad through itself either

iTunes can't seem to recognize its own applications, and can't seem to sync my iPad through itself either. It seems like once Steve Jobs died the iTunes team said to themselves, "Finally! We can screw this up like we've always wanted to do with no guidance or reason behind us!" Does anyone have any input that could help me get it back on track, or I would even appreciate an alternative to it. It's done nothing but go directly downhill at high speed since Steve died.

What "applications"? iTunes is a single application.

and can't seem to sync my iPad through itself either.

The iPad sync with iTunes. The iPad does not sync with itself...

It seems like once Steve Jobs died

You had me intrigued until this idiotic statement...

Does anyone have any input that could help me get it back on track

What kind of input do you need?
    What is wrong?

It's done nothing but go directly downhill at high speed since Steve died.

Perhaps you should switch to a different platform with a living person in charge.

Apps then. It doesn't recognize the podcast app or the find my friends app in an update, and when I sync my iPhone it works fine, but it won't recognize my iPad and tells me it couldn't link to the store. Sometimes it syncs it just fine. And yes, since Steve Jobs died, the iTunes team has made terrible decisions about the direction to take it.

I would like to know if there's a setting I need to revise or something that might have been clicked that made iTunes as unresponsive and difficult.

Browse the forum for the past 24 hours, and also the iTunes Store forum. Several topics discuss this. It seems to be a bug and ignore it.

The Podcasts and Find My Friends apps became core components of iOS at some point. The versions in your library are no longer relevant and can be safely removed. I've no idea why the message doesn't just say that instead of iTunes showing an update that is then denied.
