Q: Iphone 6 is deleting texts, apps are crashing

I am having trouble with my iPhone 6.  Its apps are crashing. Texting look like they're not sending but sometimes they are. It's deleting messages that have already been sent. Ive tried deleting songs, photo's app.  It's not registering that l've done it. Having trouble reading my emails also. It either has to download them again or it says that there is nothing to show.  The malfunctions continue. Hoping l don't have to do a factory reset. I've tried back you to both my icloud and my laptop but a large portion is still not getting transfered. I've done a soft reboot. Cleared bookmarks and history.I'm stuck. Hoping someone can help. Thanks

    Hello mich_123,

Thanks for that info and for choosing Apple Support Communities. I know how important it is to have your iPhone and apps work the way you expect. If I understand correctly, you are having issues with the apps crashing, but also having the apps not behave as expected. Since you have already tried restarting and a soft reboot of your iPhone, here are your next steps to resolve this issue:

    1. Make sure your Mac or Windows software is up to date, and iTunes software is up to date as well.                                                                                                                                     Get the latest version of iTunes
    2. Make an iTunes backup. You mentioned that you were having issues with fully completing the backup of your iPhone. This article can help with that.                                                                                                                                                                                                            If your iTunes backup couldn't be completed or you can't restore from a backup
    3. Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    4. To narrow down if this is a hardware or software related issue, the next step is to factory restore your iPhone in iTunes, setup as a new phone temporarily and test the issues.                                                                                                                                                          Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
    5. If you iPhone works normally and as expected after testing it while setup as new, you can then restore your backup from iTunes to put your personal data back on your iPhone.                                                                                                                                                                      Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

    Cheers!
