Q: File Vault and Keychain passwords.
Will File Vault prevent unauthorised access to passwords stored by keychain?

FileVault encrypts your OS X partition so that everything stored on it (including the keychain) cannot be accessed without your user password (OS X will not even start up if you do not type your password). However, if someone managed to log in your user account, it will not have any problem to access to your keychain, as the process is the same as on a Mac without FileVault.
