Q: songs are stopping mid way while playing

I have had this issue for a while, but haven't been able to find an answer. There are a few songs in iTunes, that stop abruptly within a song, and it starts the song from the beginning. These songs are purchases from iTunes. Is there a reason for this?

I also have another issue. There are a few compilations and songs that don't show up in my music library in iTunes on my iPhone. For instance Supertramp, is on my iPhone, but to find the songs, I have to go into the search function on my phone (spotlight), type in the artist, and click the play button next to the artist. From here the song can only be controlled in spotlight, I am not directed to iTunes.

Maybe these issues are related in some way?

Thanks for your time.

Cheers.

    Hello nelsonmay,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important being able to listen to all of your songs in iTunes!

If I understand correctly, you have 2 issues to be addressed.

    1. You're having an issue with playing a song purchased from the iTunes Store. If you see an icon next these songs of a cloud with an arrow, click the icon to download the file and try playback again.

If you're not seeing the download icon next to these songs, you can try removing the songs from iTunes and redownload a copy from your Past Purchases in the iTunes Store.

    2. It sounds like certain songs are being synced to your iPhone, but they only show in the Music app if you sort by Compilations. One option would be to find these in iTunes and edit the song information to group them together. Then re-sync your iPhone to apply this change. This is explained in this iTunes Help article:
