iPhone 6 battery usage data missing

I don't know when this started or how long it has been going on, since this is not a setting I check very often.

I have an iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2. I have just realized that the battery usage data is missing entirely. It just says "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes, and then it simply doesn't show up. I've turned the phone off and on a couple of times. I've swiped up all apps in use, etc.

I am NOT going to reset the device over this issue...I've had enough problems with the whole iPhone 6 line (I am on my third one). I would just like a simple fix...or a way to submit a bug report to Apple.

Thanks!

To collect battery data the phone must be fully charged, then allowed to run for several hours. Each time you power cycle it the process starts over. So if you keep power cycling it you will never get battery usage information.

Does this apply if the phone is plugged into a charger as well? I'm just wondering because when I first noticed this, I had not been power cycling my phone and hadn't done so for quite a while. I didn't power cycle the phone until I observed this issue.

Anyway, the data did return on its own. I'll make a point of checking after I plug it in to charge it.

I actually don't ever let my battery get very low before I plug it in because I live in an area where the electricity is unreliable and we just never know when we'll be without for a few hours at a time. I keep my electronics fully charged just in case.

Thanks for your reply. 🙂
