An Apple ID is used for all Apple services (e.g., iTunes, iCloud, this forum, App Store, iMessage, FaceTime, etc) and an Apple ID can have only one password. Normally someone would only have one Apple ID but it is possible that you set up two different Apple IDs and are using one for iCloud only. The following has information on how to recover.
