How to Prevent Adding Duplicate Songs to Playlist

Just adding another voice to this. I'm also in the process of moving from Spotify to Apple Music and have been missing this feature a LOT.

I have several playlists with hundreds of songs and not having this feature makes the transfer process annoying if I get interrupted in the middle of things. Not to mention I like to continue to add to these, so while I am careful I am certainly not perfect and having duplicates in lists is just an annoyance.

Love the feature in Spotify and it seems like something Apple should be able to add pretty easily .. I'm pretty shocked that it's not already there to be honest.

I can’t believe this is still the case in October 2017. I switched from Spotify and this is annoying because after I while I don’t remember if I already added a song to a playlist.

I also really miss this simple feature. It's daily annoying to add duplicate song. I almost think to come back to Spotify...please Apple, yes you can.

This is a must!! Come on Apple, surely this is simple to implement?

As of now, this still is a feature we really need. I'd love for Apple Music to grow out to be even faster and intuitive. This is one of the small things that would add to achieving this.

Agreed - and especially important for Boomer Apple lovers whose memories are not that they used to be. Did I add that song previously?
