Q: trying to install OS X server 5.1.5

Hi, im trying to install OS X server om my IMac but the installation got stuck at setting up mail.

Im running the latest version of OS X El Captain (10.11.5)

    A couple of thoughts.  If you have not gotten very far, you can just throw everything out and try starting over.  For example, delete Server.app from the Applications folder.  Then navigate to /Library and delete the entire Server folder.  Reboot the machine.  Return to App Store and download Server.app fresh.  Before launching, open Terminal and enter this command:  tail -f /var/log/system.log  Once you are watching the system.log, launch Server.app and see if it is halting on a specific step.

     

    Also, are you using your Ethernet port?  I've experienced issues if trying to run with only the wireless network connected.
