Q: my phone has the itunes plug in on the screen, why?

My IPhone has the plug into iTunes message but iTunes will not download on my computer. What can I do to start my phone?

Download iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download

You must have Windows 7 or later, or OS X 10.8.5 or later, or iTunes will be unable to communicate to your iOS device.
