Q: IPhoto will not open or update in UK Store
Hello,
My Iphoto has decided that it will not open or update.
When I click to update it says 'the item youve requested is not available in the UK store'
I have followed instructions on a similar problem, but when I go to purchased apps to delete it, it does not appear. When I then go to 'unhide' it, this option is not available to me.
I am currently using OS X El Capitan version 10.11.5 , which I think is a recent update and could be an issue causing this (But i really don't know)
Please help me
Thanks
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

You need iPhoto 9.6.1 on El Capitan. But you can only update iPhoto, if the version you are using is a version installed from the AppStore or at least associated with your AppleID at the AppStore. If iPhoto came on installer DVDs and you did not purchase it from the AppStore or it did not come preinstalled on your Mac with OS X Lion or newer, then you can no longer update it. Apple stopped the developement of iPhoto, and updating is no longer supported. You can only reinstall iPhoto versions you already own. It is too late now to convert DVD versions of iPhoto to AppStore versions.
You can open your iPhoto Libraries in Photos for Mac, however. That is Apple's successor to iPhoto. See this support document, how your iPhoto library will appear in Photos: How Photos handles content and metadata from iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support
