Q: Safari keeps locking up when using Facebook.

This ONLY happens when I am on Facebook. I could be scrolling through my timeline and come across a link to a video that would take me away from FB to see the video. When I attempt to return back to Facebook, Safari locks up and I get the spinning beach ball. Happens every single time!!! I have to quit Safari and then open it up again for it to begin working again. Anybody know why its doing this? It's possible I am using an older version of Safari (6.2.8) to be exact. I notice some issues with other things like some sites won't open with Safari but I will use Firefox and those sites will open right up and the same with watching videos and then returning to Facebook. It works fine using Firefox.

    Hi,

Perhaps a Safari extension or third party plug-in installed that's causing a conflict.

Troubleshooting help here >  If Safari is slow, stops responding, quits unexpectedly, or has other issues

If troubleshooting extensions and plug-ins doesn't help, Safari 6.2.8 is such an outdated version that you will more than likely encounter problems.

Best best is to use Firefox but be aware, Mozilla (Firefox) may not support older versions of Safari and past Mac OS X operating systems much longer.
