OS X server - what is the "base url" for sharing a calendar of a user account?

Hi there.

Please have a closer look at the attached screenshot. My goal is, that the user can share the calendar via a public link.

The server has it's connection via internet and its reachable by the own name via dyndns. This works as expected.

But I don't know how I can generate the link to publish/share a calendar then?

Perhaps, which further server services I have to activate additionally…?

Many thanks for your help an assistance for this challenge.

Kind regards,

Juland.

Hi Leo.

Thanks for the helpful link. I've tried some different public webdav servers. But over all, I can't reach the final goal, which I want to realize, based only with services of OS X Server, especially in combination with resources like rooms, etc.

I can't understand, why it shouldn't possible to set up an webdav service natively within OS X server, also with external access via internet. Perhaps my knowledge about all the technical relationships of network services, groups and user access isn't good enough for now :-)

Nevertheless many thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Juland.

To be a shared Calendar, the calendar cannot be a "local" calendar, it must be a calendar set up on an server on the Internet, specified by its fully-qualified Domain Name.

Use Calendar > Preferences > Accounts > [+]

... and specify the fully qualified domain name of the Caldav server that will hold the master calendar, the Userid and password (on that server) of the calendar owner.
